Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is essential and one of the main tools with my clients. When you change your thoughts, you change your behavior. Why? Because when you change your thoughts, you change your behavior which very quickly will you change your whole life for the better! Changing your thoughts takes practice, discipline, focus, and diligence. When you change your brain from negative to positive, you shift from complaining to finding solutions, go from stress to peace, and create new neural pathways in your brain. When you change your thoughts, it remaps your brain by creating new neural pathways! This is very powerful. Many of us have had fear and defeat role-modeled by our families, culture, parents, lineage, religion, oppression, racism, sexism and trauma. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will teach you how to take your power back and your life back by changing your thoughts. This lesson is one of the most powerful things that I teach. Healing the way that you think will change your life experience and lead you to freedom, joy, and success.
Consciously Creating a Happy Day.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Talk therapy, and Meditation all help us consciously create the day, the life, the self, and the experience that we want, instead of being victims of whatever we get. This consciousness means that we have peace inside even when there is a storm outside. Controlling your thoughts, choosing your thoughts, and processing your emotions, will all lead you to be your best self. Alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have studied and researched the power of natural healing, which I discuss more of in my Youtube videos.
The power of Natural Healing
Since I was a child, I have always gone to the beach. The beach is excellent for healing the mind, body, and spirit. Swimming in the ocean, the saltwater is healing my body, mind, and spirit. I’m an empath, so I take on and absorb negative energy from people. The ocean clears that negative energy away, giving us a natural negative energy detox. That is why we feel renewed after going to the beach.
When your feet are on the sand, a holistic process occurs called earthing. Earthing gives you negative ions that pulsate from the earth. These negative ions combat toxic energy and positive ions that come from electronics like tv, smartphones, and being on the computer. In ancient times – we moved throughout the world, in touch with the earth all the time. We slept outside, walked barefoot, and sat on the ground. We used to be surrounded by negative ions all the time. Modern living and technology have taken us away from them.
Benefits of Negative ions:
- Help boost serotonin levels – this alleviates depression and anxiety.
- Negative ions boost our energy.
- Lowers inflammation in the body; inflammation causes disease and mental illness.
My happy place is the beach – but you can do earthing anywhere! The cure is outside, in a park, at a beach, in a forest, on a nature hike, in the mountains, in the desert or on a patch of grass. You can hug a tree, garden, and eat plants! Most people have no clue. Negative ions are natural medicine for your body, mind, and spirit.
Another one of my favorite holistic techniques is EFT. EFT is acupressure – and it is very effective. I have been using it for 25 years. It helps rid fear, trauma responses, sadness, anxiety, fight or flight, addiction, heartbreak, and more. I talk more about EFT in a video I made that you can watch here.
